Our Funerary artifacts collection are objects associated with ancient Egyptian burial practices. You can find the following artifacts under this category:

• Sarcophagus: A Greek word for the outer stone container of the rectangular or anthropoid coffin in which the Egyptians place the mummified body. Sarcophagi are usually laden with various stylish Egyptian iconography and hieroglyphs. Mostly depicting various gods and events.
• Pesesh-Kef Wands: These objects are sometimes referred to as one of the most important objects in Egyptian funerary practices. They have been around since the predynastic times. They were believed to be an instrument used to support the lower jaw of the corpse during ancient Egypt’s early embalming stage, in what was referred to as the "Opening of the Mouth" ceremony. This ceremony was meant to transform the coffin into a vessel for the Ka (Spirit), for his/her journey to the afterlife.
• Canopic Jars: Canopic jars were used by the Ancient Egyptians during the mummification to store and preserve the organs of their owner for the afterlife. Canopic jars usually come with a variety of stoppers (lids). Each representing various Gods.
