Stucco over linen cartonnage fragment depicts Anubis, the jackal-headed patron God of embalming who presided over mummification and accompanied the dead to the hereafter, standing with Nephthys, protective goddess of the dead and her sister Isis, protective goddess who used magic spells to help people in need, the wife of Osiris and the mother of Horus. Each goddess holds an ankh, the Egyptian symbol of life and has one hand raised in a blessing. One row of hieroglyphs on the right. Comes in a shadow box. New Kingdom, 20th Dynasty.
