Lot of 2: Egyptian bronze Ptah with a pronounced cranium, holding a staff and wearing a garment with a broad collar. Ptah, the Creator-God of Memphis was usually portrayed as a mummy with his hands protruding from the wrappings and holding a staff that combines the djed pillar, ankh sign and 'Was' scepter. His head was shaven and covered by a tight-fitting skull-cap leaving his ears exposed. Green patina. Mounted on a base. 663-525 BC (7 ½" x 2 ¼" ); Pre-Columbian, Mayan four-footed terracotta vessel depicting a jaguar, it's tail serving as the handle, with the head of a Mayan warrior in an elaborate headdress on each side. Dark patina. 600-900 AD (9 1/2" x 5 ¾" )
